About Abeta stool? I am trying to west with my horse. I need to get a western saddle very soon (the horse not trained in the West) so I can start training and practice of 4H and OHSET next year. Do not do big shows. Need a decent price since I'm using my own money ... I found a seat in my city Abeta Nice online, but seeing that theyre almost always really cheap, are they not very good to use? Any other brands you recommend?
Thank you:)
I have owned two species, and those leather are always with me. In the early 90s I exchanged a series of wedge plates for a Wintec Sport and give him he was a great seat, but the difference of sitting in one vs my now 40 years old Stubben Siegfried is like difference between owning a Saturn and trying to compare it to a Mercedes. Let's see if the Wintec is the norm for almost 40 years later Stubben.
I also finished with a western saddle Abeta a bit and finally give him my best friend, who has also finally found it on to someone else.
Our reasoning behind this is that synthetic, no matter how they make 'em did not "give" is one of the reasons for the interchangeable gullet in the saddle Wintec. I can honestly say in the decades of owning my Siegfried (Stubben), I've never been on a horse she did not fit and I own a LOT of different sizes / breeds of horses. Quarter Horses WIDE to reduce TBS and even a couple of Arabs.
I can also say the same about my Western saddle. My favorites are the stools of 40 Circle Y and my perspective is now 23 years old Broken Horn Show saddle 13 and saddle work Broken Horn (BH both seats were made for me on semi QH tree that fits most and horses I own.). I do not like the fact that synthetics do not "give" to them and you have a better chance of sponsoring a horse because they do not move with the body of a horse (they have little or no "give" in the trees, not to mention the comfort of a leather saddle for the rider only if you get a good quality saddle.).
If you're limited on funds, then try e-bay and find a good used saddle.
ok Abete, but I recommend a leather saddle. You can get really nice for cheap swaps in turn, transfer the sales or tack stores. Synthetic doesn't look as nice as the leather they are both built. I have both a courdura (as beta) and a saddle leather saddle and I much prefer my leather saddle. Just my opinion. Abeta isn't bad, I just do use. :)
eBay has probably many saddles that are cheap enough:)
I have a Wintec Synthetic Saddle All Arounder. I love it! It is super comfortable and very lightweight. (£ 15 ish). Clearly, research, and could not be used in craft shows in the West, but it is a great all around (hence the name) saddle all day. Brand new, they are usually around $ 300 dollars. If reasonable. In addition, they are very easy to maintain. You can get soaked walking track, not a big deal. The only thing about it, I do not like is that it came with plastic hangers. Those are easy enough to pass for you much better when I get a little money. Basically, you get what you pay for. It will last for 50 years? Probably not. But as a student, I am (I hope;) will not be poor forever, and this saddle is great and suits my needs yet.
