A Bird Feeding Station in your garden What is a bird feeding station? Simple. This is an area within your garden or property where bird feeders are set up. Most bird feeders are located near the bridge or window, so that the birds are easier to see when they come.
A variety of different types of feeders should be used to attract and feed a wide variety of species. As for the food itself, bird seed is still popular, but the fruit, peanut butter, suet, nectar, and mealworms are also excellent choices. If you want to attract a specific type of birds, however, there is a specific type of food and food for each species.
When you place your feeders, it is recommended that you choose a place that can be seen all at home, yet close enough to bushes or trees so birds can quickly get to safety if danger should do nearby. It is also advisable to separate departures for smaller birds than for large birds. This will allow smaller birds to enjoy their food in peace, and not have to compete with other, larger. They love you for it and will reward more frequent visits.
A curious thing will sometimes occur when you place your feeders near the seed or in a garden, because sometimes the seeds will germinate! Now, some people may not like the idea of snatching plant germination, especially if they have a well maintained garden. If so, they may choose to obtain seed kernels instead. They will also have the bonus of not having to deal with discarded shells, but the disadvantage is that shelled seeds tend to mold quickly. Others may simply leave the seeds germinate (sunflower seeds for example) and push a natural forest of sunflowers for the birds.
I saw the bird feeders with long branches and distributors, which are very nice. These branches can be attached to the feeders or pushed into the ground, adding perches for birds useful to sit. Some people also use these branches to hang pieces of fruit, while other wine growing branches. Vines are useful for the breeding of insects for birds, as well as adding a few decorative touches. If you want to use vines, though, I suggest using red trumpet-shaped flowers vines, as they attract hummingbirds and nectar also help.
An excellent point of contact for your station to feed the birds, if you can find one, would be a dead tree (or hang), with members removed dangerous. Peaks and other insectivorous birds feed can use the top of the tree, while the other feeders can be hung on the lower branches. But avoid placing nest boxes on a stump that is used as a feeding station, as the parent birds do not like many other birds around their young.
An essential ingredient to have a water bird with a good diet is a source of water for birds to drink and bathe. Never put a bird bath or pond too close to the feeding station, though. Apart from the fact that the birds prefer to smooth a little peace and quiet while organizing and dry their feathers, birds avoid bathroom with lots of other activities around them. Finally, planting flowers and plants near the bird feeding station to provide nectar and seeds for your visitors. Zinnias coneflowers, and sunflowers are good choices. Birds eat the seeds, especially during the autumn season.
