Bird Of Paradise Tree

Its leaves are brown and die one by one. So we moved into a room that will give him more light dierct. Maybe he needs an artificial lighting too?? How do I do? And if I do that .. can I just put it back in the room that I wanted to head with some artificial light? How much artificial lighting and how do I get it and it looks like? Where can I find this? Thank you a lot!
