I shot with Canon cameras for twenty years. Whenever I'm in the mood for a major update I always go to a camera dealer and take a look at the competition and each time I did what I always slept with Canon.

This unit is built like a brick. Canon says they have dropped some weight from the previous model, but it is still very heavy. However, he shoots balanced and solid in your hands. They also simplified the controls and menu system and from the Nikon system I tested the Mark III is much easier to use. The autofocus locks on fast moving objects and maintains that the object changes during the shooting while you are out of 10 frames per second. Whenever I had a shot of the concentrate is due to my mistake. This camera is a professional body and autofocus needs to be improved - in other words it does not give you one size fits developed. Take time to read the manual and some of Canon papers publish on its Web site and learn how to set the autofocus to different situations and you will have no problems.

The Mark IV is released with more megapixels and a brand new autofocus system, but according to some comments, such as Pop Photo, its autofocus is not as fast as the Mark III. With the new model on the Mark III is now a market.

I bought used from someone who was saving up for the Mark IV. he went up, and send it to Canon to get it, etc. Maintenance, support of Canon is the machine back w / in 4 days and it was during the Christmas period. Upgrade w / firmware is not out yet, and replaced the shutter mechanism. I have no issues other focus was expressed.
