Buying a Blue tongue skink? I was looking for a Blue tongue skink in my local store for pets. Today, I came across one and was totally excited. I asked the normal questions: What species did you date of birth, is it raised in captivity, what is his plan, like, so on and so forth. The seller / owner passed my knowledge test BTS and I think that the skink may well have supported in the store for pets. It is 3 1 / 2 years, very sociable and friendly, seems in good general health, no obvious signs of healing, missing toes, or parasites seen. The only problem I have is that it sells Northern Blue Tongue Skink for $ 450. Other local pet stores I called said they could order me a skink and none of them have requested more than $ 200 for them. Online, I found what I consider reputable breeders for about $ 99. In addition, language was pink skink back and a darker shade of blue when I had seen in the pictures. Is this normal? I was tempted to buy because it was so wet but thought I'd better wait because the price seemed outrageous and I do not know what to do with language. Basically I'm asking .. Do we really pay this price? And the rose back to normal?
Well maybe go on: if www.tradingpost.com Australia. People at home to breed and sell them cheap and babies. Just look around, but if your happy with this guy, go ahead. Sounds healthy and still young. " :)
With the price, I would not do this out of my pocket in a hurry, perhaps look at the sites.
With the language, I have not seen any of my babies and even then it may be that type of race you're watching. Maybe look on the net or ask about it. You do not know if
We obtained from our backyard. Once "litter" of them were born, but our dogs have to get them, we had to take care of them until they are healthy enough to go back under the rocks. We left food for them is that we could not find what they eat and always took care of them. :)
I hope you have fun with your scaly friend:)
Reptiles and fish are often in value once they have matured, because they take a long time to reach adult size and coloration. A minor is almost always much less than an adult. In addition, if it is in excellent health, she has taken well to captivity and is less likely to be more difficult to manage in the future.
It's really expensive, I recommend getting a huge reservoir of craigslist for the leopard geckos and well kept.
