Budgie Health

Budgie HealthBudgie Parrot Feather health issue?

Budgie question, I have two parakeets .. they seem to be healthy, but I noticed that in the neck, wings and rump in small areas feathers Search sparse and thin. I do not know if this is normal, or it may be a part of the process of molting? Although I have not seen the birds flying around free. I am the original owner parakeet time, and they are great! I want to be sure they remain happy and healthy, thanks for the help!

This is a great opportunity for both situations! It could be plucking or molting. Take him to the vet to the vet for him to really get a good look at them.

In both cases, you can mist freshwater wih 2x a day, and keep the water held in Uniprim. A supplement of healthy birds that you can find in your PetSmart / Petco

This could be a number of things it could be mites, moulting or consanguinity, no way to tell from here, but some areas to check if you keep the paper bird in a cage below the eye when cleaning to see if any spots that Little Red mites are blood suckers are usually driven happen a little at a time reathers there should be spots Nobari with inbreeding, the birds tend to be small and sometimes spots on the naked body.

I had a pink cockatoo chest that had this and unfortunately, if the feathers continue to fall, you may have the disease parakeets beak and feathers. It is a genetic condition that is incurable. If the feathers are, you can try to put small toys or branches in the cage he is not bored and pluck his feathers.
