Cat Scratching Post

Cat Scratching PostHelp with making a cat scratching post?

I want to make a pole cat. plan to use a PVC pipe, wood base, ropes and mats as in the link

http://www.howtodothings.com/pets-animal ...

problem: dont know whats the best way to meet the basic No post together or if there is a better way of doing this

Id also use wood, some cats are funny on some textures (mine are not like glass) Id say 2 "by 2" wood glue for the carpet (a little cat nip set the back of the carpet before fixing), the place for strength and can be removed stability.Wood & re-coated with a fabric / carpet but I do not think PVC might just as well in the long term ... Good luck ...

your best choice would be to go with the pole of PVC, it is more durable than wood, and less likely to break if dropped while moving. Regarding the paste into the wood, I recommend the gorrilla glue to the wood base, it binds to all I know, look at Home Depot, it should be an L-shaped piece of metal you can use screw the base and driving it yourself, once that is done you can cover with a carpet and you will not have to worry about the injured animal. If you have further questions email me mkg101carp@yahoo.com

I would like to make wood to start.
My cat scatchs always something that is made of wood.
A tree, Funatura
