HISTORY
The first recognized Cheltenham Festival was held at Prestbury Park in 1902. The precursor of the Gold Cup, a steeplechase of four miles, for amateur riders was executed in 1904. The first Cheltenham Gold Cup was run in 1924, won by Red Splash. The price earning money was £ 700.The last twenty-five flow have seen eight 9-year-September 8, five 10-7-years and five years of success.
