After all this is home to fish and where they will live the rest of their lives, but they must rely on you to maintain, clean, keep warm, and all that is necessary for the home to be safe and healthy. It is not difficult to keep tropical fish tanks clean and healthy for your fish if you follow some simple steps and guidelines, so let's go over those here if you can be sure that you are the best work possible.

First remember that you do not want to use harsh, abrasive chemicals for cleaning tanks of tropical fish, especially any bleach. Chemicals and bleach always leave a residue, no matter how much you rinse and these things are very bad for your fish. If algae stuck on the side, you can use a razor blade or a straight line on the tank glass or a special cleaning cloth for acrylic tanks of tropical fish. This will get rid of the accumulation without damaging your tank. For the rest of cleaning the tank with a damp cloth and plenty of hot water and a toothbrush for accessories such as water heaters and filter elements.

A special vacuum is used to clean the substrate or gravel on the bottom of the tanks of tropical fish. This type of depression will get any buildup of harmful bacteria and no need to remove and disrupt the entire collection of gravel, which is never a good idea. Some people make the mistake of thinking that the entire tank must be emptied and cleaned everything that is not safe for fish. Make a water change is also important in cleaning the tanks of tropical fish. For large tanks just pull about 10% -15% of the water and replace it with the hot water tap for small tanks you need to do about 25% of the water. Always add a water condition thereafter, which is readily available wherever you buy tropical fish tanks. This condition of the water helps to get the tap to the concentration of chemicals needed to keep tropical fish.

Remember that you never want to clean the tanks of tropical fish too much or too often. Overzealous remove the reservoir of the bacteria that need good fish and help keep everything else in balance. Just do a general cleaning about once a week and you should be okay. If you find any problems in your tropical fish tanks, such as green water or cloudy, there are additives you can use to clarify these issues.
