Crested Gecko Habitat

Crested Gecko HabitatCrested Gecko Habitat info?

Well, Ive been looking into getting a crested gecko for a while now, and I think I just need to know everything I have to know, but I would like to know more about the habitat they need . I know they prefer the height against the width of the cage, but it should be at the bottom of the cage? and they need a resource of heat? I heard somewhere they dont, but I just want to be sure before you get one. Thank you!

It's great that you do your research!

We keep our geckos crested on a bed of green land, even if they rarely go to the bottom of the cage. This will keep moisture in and we believe the choice of bedding that best fits their natural environment.

We heat our geckos, but we use a very low-watt bulb. This way they can warm themselves if they want and we think it would be sad for them if they always sit in the dark.

They like to hide in the top of their tank, so it's a good idea of hiding spots above. You can buy really cheap vines in most craft stores and hang from the top and back. They use them to hide and jump from vine to vine to hunt.

They're just a big lizard and I'm sure you will have a blast with them!
