I just started a tropical aquarium last Tuesday and I want advice on which fish should I buy? I have two male and female swordtail fish and a paradise my tank is 54 liters and 2 feet long
Tips lot depends on the owner and the tank, he or she a. you have 54 liters, 60 liters is about 15 gallons, then assume that 54 liters is about 13. which is not very big but you can fish around a comfortable range. Again, it depends on what type of tank you want to have if you want a community tank, which means you want a community like the tank has many fish that interacts freely and peacefully together, you'll need research on fish that are comfortable with each other, their habitat requirements and the type of water they can tolerate. but then there may be painting too many choices you may want everyone in your tank. Always remember that suggest that fish do not think like humans, we are the capacities of their habitats, we should consider. this is not their fault if nip end themselves or are aggressive is their nature to be this way. most tip I can give you is to research first before buying, do not buy first, then search. do not think one inch of fish per gallon, when you search, you'll know why he can be trusted. Personally, if my tray I see: a betta, or Siamese fighting fish (despite its name, they can be peaceful if no other fish have long fins), 5-6 Tetra small characters such as neon (delicate but very beautiful). rummynose (tight schools of fish), or simply looking cardinal tetra which do not grow more than 1.5 "or otherwise I would also suggest 5-6 Tetra Harlequin Rasbora (high school beautiful and waterproof) and the background Dora any type of small cory. again, the search if you're ready.
If you just started this tank, the first thing I encourage you to do is learn about cycling the tank, which is the process of construction of beneficial bacteria. Your fish will produce ammonia which is toxic, and beneficial bacteria to decompose it into more toxic nitrites and then nitrate less toxic. Then you can remove and dilute the nitrates from the water by a change of 25% each week.

I know it was not your question, but the best way to do this time is to wait a couple weeks and then add your two swordtail fish slowly, one pair at a time. The best fish to go with other viviparous swordtail is probably too hard, slightly alkaline water. This includes mollies, platies, guppies and Endler's livebearers.
Another option would be a school of a hardy fish. Tetras Tetras as luminescence bloodfin tetras, Pristella (x-ray) Tetras, white or black skirts, lemon tetras, penguin tetras, neon tetras black, etc. Stay away from neon tetras, cardinal tetras, rummynose tetras, bleeding heart Tetras, serpae grouse and grouse Congo at the moment.
Other small schooling fish include zebra GloFish, gold barbs, cherry barbs, and most Rasboras. You can also make a school of corydoras catfish, which are very popular and adorable groundfish. Otto is another cat that you could make a school.
All these schools of fish above must be kept in groups of 5 +. If kept in a small school, they behave strangely and may be aggressive, sometimes even if they are peaceful fish.
Avoid Plecos because most are too large for your tank. Common plecos can get 18 "+ and require a huge tank, and are not very compatible with swordtail anyway. Bristlenose Even Plecos get up at 6" and would take much of your tank.
Remember that swordtail fish are big enough, and two swordtail takes a lot of storage room you have in the tank. A good way to check compatibility and how you use stored.
