Is it possible that the tank could have tripled my electricity bill in one month? I set up an aquarium 55 gallons last month, and I filter and heater running constantly. This is the only thing I can think what is different. My electricity bill went from $ 110 to $ 345 last month.
Absolutely, I have a 220 gallon tank between the heater and filter, it costs me about 100.00 per month.
PS To do this, turn everything off and go out side and watch the first meters to turn the tank while on leave at the end, turn the filter first, then the heads of power, then the water heater, whether it not rotate fast
Absolutely not.
Are you manage your CA 24-7?
Something is wrong, call your power company and maybe it is a mistake.
I have two indoor tanks and an outdoor pond that all electrical appliances running. I have seen a slight increase in my bill.
Now, my pool is another story.
this is not the aquarium, it is your electical!
I can not believe a tank could add that much. Geez we have many people in this house with televisions and stereos on as AC running all the time and never goes past 150. Check with the electric co. Seems to be a problem perhaps.
A girl of 55 years. reservoir would not have increased accordingly. Are there other factors? At the weather turns much colder in the past month? Do you have a hot water faucet drip? Could the power company has made a mistake when they read the meter? I had a sudden increase in my electric bill and asked that they read the meter. It turned out that the meter reader had made a mistake.
nope .. absoultely not ... it will not cost you that much if u had an aquarium ... try to check the wiring or any rider, or maybe your neighbor was an illegal tap of your electrical connections who do not know your .... lasltly and you should work on your power company ... and ask anything on your bill
Unless your electricity is really expensive, not means. Using an average of $ 0.10 per kWh, you seem to use an average of one extra 3200W 24 / 7 more than last month. Your filter and heater are probably not rated over 200W each, so there must be something else.
I guess that is your water heater or HVAC is broken or if you have a hot water leak somewhere. 3200W is equivalent to 27 amps at 120V, so the problem is either spread over several regular routes or involves one of the circuits at high intensity, V /.
