Equine Nutrition

Equine NutritionEquine nutrition?

Does anyone have solid information on nutrition for horses in America Cenrtal (Panama). We take care of moisture and high temperatures. We have different types of forage and North American classics supplements are hard to find and trust. Many corn and rice.

Well I know the charros in Los Angeles use lots of rolled barley corn, because that is what they are used in Mexico. Oats tend to give that energy. Can you list what is available in Panama? Hay, etc. This would greatly help to determine what would be the best choice to help you find content that suits your horse.

Interesting, I looked at the age and workload (if any) for your horse, watch a protein required for maintenance regime. Then I would look at local alternatives to create the need for protein. Corn, perhaps rolled or crimped, make sure it does mold. Beet pulp? If locally grown, what about oats? I was looking to purchase or another FastTrack probiotics to ensure that what they eat and digest most widely used. Horses for m aintained do not require a lot of grain, just a good fodder. Grasses you would have to examine on the spot to what may or may not be toxic.
