Do parrots and exotic birds from other shit right on you if you are holding them? I know it sounds silly, but I do not think I could never have an animal that poops on me without notice. Do macaws, Vons eplitus of (SP), cockatoos and other large birds like this just shit on you if you're keeping them on the couch or if they are sitting on your shoulder? I can take care of these birds involves a lot of affection like any other but what about food and things like that? Do they care?
Yes, they shit on you. Birds generally shit wherever they are.
There is hope though!
I trained one of my cockatoo to shit on command. I took a garbage can and tell him to go. In addition, you can buy a flight suit for your bird. Keeps the crap out of you, your furniture and even birds.
It is also good to keep in mind that generally the first thing that all my birds when I pick them up is shit, then I give them a minute to go before I walk with them. The tendency to crap all 15-20 minutes, you can estimate when it is time to deliver or to hold him over a trash can:)
From personal experience, yes, they do shit if you keep ... And yes they need a lot of attention, especially parrots, they enjoy spending time with their owner and if they do not start at all angry and aggressive ...
A board, put the cage on the ground or eye level, never more than that because they can begin to think they're the boss and they will not shut up ...
Always put them to bed at the same time, covering the cage with a black cover ...
I suppose they will, if required to do when they are standing on you.
Any bird shit on you.
They love you if they do, they do not want the bird shit on you did not really want you.
Yes they do, and they are very high maintenance. More bird, the more attention they require. It's like having a child of 2 years. You must feed, teach, love, cleaning, be careful and take care of them permanently. They are fun pets!
Yup. My cockatiel just shit on me right now. Ouch.
Yes, unless you train the pot
