Fake Owl

My girlfriend tried to remember the name of a movie she saw once. She thought Jeniifer Tilly was him or someone similar. There was a man who owned a restaurant and a waitress was and there was a conspiracy of some odds with the law owl hidden money that? Any suggestion?

All I can see the games is that it's a waitress, and Jennifer Tilly co-stars in this ~ if you are not sure of his being in the movie. I do not find mention of a statue owl, I even wondered about a stuffed owl. I'll keep looking around for other possibilities.
