MarketplaceFantail Doves Wat is the difference between doves and pigeons Peacock Peacock or are they the same? Wat is the difference between doves and pigeons Peacock Peacock or are they the same? Where are you? In the United States or the United Kingdom? The reason I ask is my husband raised pigeons, peacocks in the U.S. and I've never heard called doves. I researched and they are called fantail doves in the United Kingdom. The pictures I've seen birds would be considered poor quality in the United States. They were elegant birds with tubular or cone-shaped tail fan. In the U.S. the price of the tail fan are Indian chunky, stocky birds with tails general search --- not tubular at all. The birds are holding their head back so far they have often stick through the vertical propagation of fans. Fun to watch in the breeding Seaon that their heads are so far asking for females, they can not see the women they are courting (walking and flirting with another male.)
The doves in the U.S. term usually refers to smaller birds streamlined. Doves are pigeons. You can find more if you want more info. Posted on September 1, 2010.
