Found A Stray Cat

Found A Stray CatWhat should I do with a stray cat found?

Yesterday evening, I found a cat neutered male non-parasitic. I put in a cage and gave him water and food a litter box. I posted an ad on craigs list of items found and I'll take him to the vet for analysis. I took him inside and he is now in my bathroom, then there are two doors that separates my two indoor cats. I am somewhat at a loss what else to do with him. I can not afford to keep it (pay veterinary bills) ideas?

Continue to feed and water. You're a good person to do what you do. Call local shelters, and veterinary books. If you hit around waiting for someone to call you from craigs list. Sounds like it should be good until then.

kat ur making or call the pound

Just the phone a local animal shelter to rescue him / her.
They will do it free of charge and give him all his shots and everything he needs.
After that, it will be up for adoption:)

There are many people who tell you to take a pound of human society, housing, etc. These places make the animals after a very short period of time. Find a relief organization, or take yourself. You are very kind to take it in first place! (Rescue sites will be responsible for veterinary care, so let them do.)

Ask around if anyone you know wants a cat. If you take her to the pound, it will probably kill him that day. And you will be happy to find a place that is not full beyond capacity, which means if you drop it there, they'll probably kill him that day, too.

It is not easy, but the best thing to keep the cat safe is to continue to do everything you do and ask around. Definitely ask all your neighbors to see if they lost a cat. Hang posters Found cat in your neighborhood.

If it's too difficult to keep it inside, and if you have a garden or porch, put a little food and water in your front yard and leave it outside. According why he is a stray dog and how long he was homeless, he'll probably stick around the area because he knows where there is a food supply.

Good luck.

I would take him to a Humane Society and tell them you have an add on Craig's list so they can not sell him or something and if they'll make it back and put in place flyer and if nobody says anything to try to sell it, but whatever you do do not let them put it, it seems pretty social, so he lives, he is a cat, he can not help someone does not want him

Keep it: D

Do not release it because it is not fixed, it will just make more kittens appear, and plus, you do not want him getting hit by a car or whatever, then bring it to your local animal rescue, and if you absolutely must have the book but do not let them put it down, see if rescue him nueter free, sometimes they do, and if they do have nuetered and you can let go, but does allow him to go outside unnuetered, please please please! just give it to your animal shelter.

Write the words "found cat" with your phone number below, using a broad tipped black felt and make lots of copies, size should be eight per A4 sheet, letters and numbers 3 / 4 "- 1" high. Mix a bit of wallpaper paste and post notices on lampposts in your neighborhood. Yes, it's a job and a little pain, but gather energy and Get Busy.

It's something I did before with several (4 or 5?) Cats that I found, one of them was a success. OK, one person in five does not look good, but it was good enough for the individual cat and its owners. This will give a chance for the cat.

It is not necessary to give a description of the cat. If someone calls with a request, ask them.
