What is the best Friesian or Quarter Horse? I seek some advice about the breed that is better. I must admit that im 14 and cannot affored a horse, but I would like to have one when I grow up ... oh ya and I think right now that the horse will be just for fun and may show little about the area. Can someone help me?
I think a quarter horse
Quarter Horses are more versatile and can be used for just about everything.
Fresian are big and pretty.
I guess it depends on what you would do with him.
It depends on what you want to do. I worked with the Frisians and I can tell you they are quite spectacular. They have a wonderful approach inherent floating with a very strong action, and they excel in driving and dressage.
Quarter Horses can be good things on thosee too, even if they do not always have the presence, action and the "wow factor" that Frisians. They are much cheaper, but ... thousands of dollars less dear! The cheapest horse in the barn shavings of my friends is ... $ 25,000 for a 10 year old gelding who is just in training!
In my opinion, Quarter Horse, but it depends on what you want one, and how much you're willing to spend. Quarter Horses are quite versatile (can be many events / sports) and affordable. Frisians are more expensive, probably more difficult to find, and may be limited in the events they would do well in. You have plenty of time to look around, and when you decide to buy a horse, to find a horse with willingness and adequate training, first.
so if you want a horse hard work I suggust quarter horses. but if you want to do much to show fersians are really cool. fersians but are really hard to find.
Depends on the type of driving you want to do, are very verstiale Qh, they can do something to jump from the west, they are good spirits, and all good horses.
Friseians are impressive too, they have a great approach for training, but they can be quite expensive, I mean, dear, they may not be the best choice for only a pleasure horse.
As a beginner horse, I would say a Quarter Horse would be better. Fresian can be quite expensive, and if you just do some small shows, I do not get a Fresian. Quarter Horses can do almost everything I saw Fresian mostly do dressage. Quarter Horses also tend to not be as frightening as other breeds, and are relatively easy to manipulate.
There is no "best" in this comparison, only depends on what you do with your horse. I've never owned a Frisian, but I have owned horses AQHA most of my life and I found that if I wanted to do something with one, Western, English or another my old quarter horses were more than willing.
When you finally get your own horse, you know what is good for you.
QH are-The All-American all-around horses, and are simply the best for a pleasurse "small" and "shows little around the area." In addition, you should find it easier to find (physically and financially) a good quarter horse in your area.
Each races are great if you want to make a horse first, I recommend a quarter horse. They can do almost any discipline and are known to nature, it sweet and attentive. They are always ready to work too. They are the horses and the greatest pleasure to succeed in the arena. I've never owned a horse but I ride a horse quarter and it is always soft and ready to roll.
I would Quarter Horse ... Frisians are nice, but expensive horses ... quarter are cheap and robust
It is apples and oranges. Both horses are good for a variety of things.
Fresian are beautiful, but I doubt I would go in the bush or the mountains to gather on a single cow. I do not think I want to race or rope off barrel on.
