Hand Raised Parrots

Hand Raised ParrotsWhat all you need to know when you buy your pet parrot?

Where can I buy a parrot?

You can either buy a parrot in a pet store regularly, a specialist breeder or an owner wishing to sell their birds. You must be careful with this last option because the original owner may be trying to get rid of their parrot because it has a bad behavior. Thus, it is recommended to familiarize yourself with the parrot before committing to buy.

Buy a parrot from a breeder or a pet better?

The answer to this depends on whether you have a breeder nearby you can go without too many problems. Breeders tend to be a better choice to buy a parrot from a pet store, even for the simple reason that they tend to sell their birds at much lower prices. In addition, farmers tend to be much better informed about the birds and the parrot in question. Thus, they can provide much more detailed knowledge on how best to take care of your new pet. Also, because they care more about birds, they are more likely to help find the best match for you when purchasing a parrot.

What should I be looking for a baby parrot ?

The first thing a baby parrot must be both brave and friendly. Parrots are generally sociable birds, they should not be afraid of human contact if they are hand-reared. Well baby parrots raised should get along well with humans, especially children, actively seeking contact and interaction. You should definitely not buy a parrot that is an insect that stings for aggressive, especially in the case of large birds. This is because their beaks can be powerful enough to take a finger if they wish. However, it is common for babies to nibble on your parrot out of curiosity, but if the parrot bites you until it hurts, it is almost guaranteed not to make a good pet.
