Any advice on cough? My horses have a virus heat about 10 days. It was done the trick - snotty nose and cough. He was not sick himself, eating well, drinking normally, feces and urine, slight elevation of temperature - in fact a cold .. Vet gave advice over the phone - effecively that the best thing to do was nothing - and everything went well.
Only problem is the cough has been suspended for 10 days. Vet is coming today to vaccinate and gave a check for good horses and that he's fine, but his throat is just irritated because of cough and just home for the rest. No probs - I'm happy with that.
Does anyone have ideas on medicines against cough (store-bought or homemade) that soothe the throat poor old horse? In the past I used Hilton Herbs "Hackaway" with some success, but it does not seem to be more available.
