Jewel / Juwel aquariums? My friend has a Juwel (or Jewel - sp?) Fish tank, he says his brow arch it. And is about 3 feet long, 1.5 feet wide and 1.8ft deep on (this option is disabled him waving his arms in the air will "of its range of this" etc. lol). He does not remember, but thought it was 180L (this seems right?). Anyway, he has it all, loads of accessories and other things and told me that I can have it for £ 50 (£ 300 value). Is there any good tanks? I think that is the same as this one - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Juwel-vision-180-w ... Anyone got any pet peeves of these tanks lol? Should I buy? I want a bigger tank you see, but I'm quite new to this lark tropical fish:-P
The council appreciated! Thank you!
It is a jewel 180 tank. I recently bought one and they are great. 50 pounds is an incredible price! I bought mine second hand off eBay for £ 150 and I thought it was a good deal. If you keep the filter properly, it will not block, and I have not had a fine fish exist in the three months that I had ... the filter has a lid.
If your friend is selling you the right firm with him is even better. If he wants more for the cabinet and then I suggest you buy it.
I have a Juwel Rio 125, while my friend has the same one you get. They are extremely good tanks and probably almost always my first choice of the tank, very beautiful and great filtration and lighting. I can not believe your friend that you can have it for £ 50! It's an offer you can not refuse!
Yes take it. thats a lot, and these tanks are great
Hello,
Jewel tanks are excellent, my uncle has three of them because they are so good, they seem to offer good lighting, good, great and provide access while the lid is opened. Well for £ 50 for a jewel 180, then you have a real bargin especially vision.
One problem he found with them is that the internal filter box blocks very quickly and the fish tend to jump into the filter and end up dead, then at the end he eventually withdrew and an external filter.
