Kitten Yarn

Our mother was a great crocheter and did other crafts son. Mom made this little kitten from son. He had wrapped 21 7 1 / 4 "by 1 1 / 4" pieces of cardboard with wire, then put these together to make this kitten. we can not remember how to put them together. Years back we did poodles long "tassels".
To make tassels we had a wooden form, as a rule with a long hole in the middle.
