Leopard Geckos As Pets

Well, im 15 and I wanted to get a leopard gecko as a pet. Are they difficult to handle? I read about them and I really dident understand information on some sites, so someone can tell me about them. felt?

Many people choose them because they are extremely easy to handle. Feed them every day, to provide temperature and humidity, and clean the cage once a month. They are an excellent companion.

They do not smell unless you never clean the tank and never take the droppings or dead insects (you need to do on a regular basis).

Make sure to research a lot ... all animals deserve a home with an owner who knows exactly how to take care of him and give him the best life possible.

Keep in mind never to use sand, which some suggest is "natural." Looking for the natural habitat to get an idea of what you want in the tank.

They are not difficult to handle. You should do as much research as you can. I know what you mean about the existence of a large number of conflicting information online. Read by several sources, then decide what you think is the best.

I have 2 and I've never felt anything from there cage. I make my own once a week.

feel they DONT. they do not sound their very docile and they make good pets. they cannot climb glass and theyre on the night that u need is a heater under the tank heater. keep temp at 85. u can go out and play with them, so they like to climb a tree to find. U HAV to HAV a warm side of the tank and a cool side of the tank using sand. do not get it their calcisand work.give two caves on either side of the tank. put one on the hot side and spray the inside to make it wet, it helps to make. I have a ten gallon tank it works for me and theyre relitavely cheap. u have a bowl of water to drink in. do not give them calcium powder until theyre one year olds.they eat crickets and mealworms. feed a couple daily when theyre babies and when they feed Evry ucan Gro up another day. U must be fed food and meal worms alive, must be refrigerated. good luck with it.
