Old Mother Hubbard Wellness

Hello, I finally got my puppy I always wanted yesterday. A Grey and white Chihuahua mix. I am currently feeding Nutro Ultra Puppy food for about two days. When I got it, I took him to Petco and the lady who worked there told me that Nutro Ultra Puppy food has been a food of high quality brand for puppies and dogs (as this is my first puppy, I really did not know much about dog food and what they put in it), I guess I was pushed to buy it .. Now I really want to change his food, because I heard that Nutro Ultra Puppy food is really poor quality food. So of course I'm worried because I do not want my baby gets sick. So I decided that I will have changed his food slowly, but I really do not know how I'll do it, because I know if you change your dog / puppy food is very fast, they get sick. But I wonder if the well-being Old Mother Hubbard has a puppy dog quality / food for puppies? Thank you very much! :)

The 6 quality food such as Innova EVO stars, Orijen, or well-being have content too basic protein for your puppy small.

Wellness Just for Puppy is great food. But I prefer Innova dry dog food. Wellness contains fillers such as tomato paste and rice. I am currently switching my shih tzu 2 months of Royal Canin (Yuck! I recently discovered that RC has too many sub-products and specifications) to Innova dry puppy food (not the Evo).

Old Mother Hubbard is undesirable as well. I was feeding Canidae for years with very good results. For all stages of life, if you do not have to worry about a transition to adult food. This is one of the best dog foods on the market. You can find it in some pet stores and grocery stores. You can go online and find a distributor in your area. God thank you, you got your dog off the Nutro.

Wellness is a good feed, what does the first poster. However, the natural balance is a better diet and available for cooperation for pets.

you can not really go wrong with a food which has a rating of 6.5 stars from this site.
There is a searchable database where you can find the food you are considering and see what is in them, and why they are considered good / bad foods.

You may also be able to take what is left in the bag nutro you bought at the store for a refund, some brands have a satisfaction guarantee.

Contrary to what some people here say, welfare is a brand of dog food very good. Better than Canidae or Natural Balance, in fact (apparently people do not read the ingredients and assuming they know what they're talking!). Not that Canidae and Natural Balance foods are not good enough as well, but they are certainly not as good as welfare. I recommend switching your puppy this food is certainly better than Nutro Ultra.

Remember that foods should be gradually (mixing new slowly in with the old course of the period of about a week or more), especially when switching to a better quality one, so as not to upset the stomach . For example:
Days 1 & 2: 75% food, 25% of new foods
Food Days 3 & 4: 50% old food, 50% of new
Days 5 and 6: 25% old food, 75% of new foods
Day 7: 0% old food, feed 100% new
