This unit does not come with instructions inside, and I do not know which switch to leave tonight for our new pet. It's his first night with us and I do not know what to do about the lighting and heating.

Well firstly this fixture has been recalled ... I wanted to add this information for you on the light you have purchased. This is a warning from the company that manufactured the light. Please take the backlight and a copy of the info above to where you bought the light. If they refuse to refund you in full, I would like to contact the company.

The light you are talking about has been reported to cause eye problems in reptiles, a problem called "photo-kerato-conjunctivitis. Its basically causing snow blindness. Just a trivia, the bulb used in the 7 "combo-circular dome was not part of the recall. This case has been designed for monitors, if the mixture of phosphorus news is now used, the lamp combo requires a screen-top absorbs short wavelength and magnification prevents reflector production. Flag
