Rabbit Habitat

Rabbit HabitatHow can you create a favorable habitat rabbit?

Our backyard slopes down to a greenbelt with a small lake. The fence has slats spaced at the bottom of about 5 "apart to avoid blocking the view. A bunny drag down the slope at times. I like planting things for him to eat, and also provide shelter. I know they like things like brush piles, but we have neighborhood covenants that I could not do something like that. Any suggestions?

Firstly, I would say that you are well in the minority, most people find annoying pest of rabbits ... That said, rabbits are not very picky about what they eat, in fact, the more you spend on a beautiful plant, the greater the likelihood that the rabbits will love ... Do not worry, they do not like the smell (personally, I line my vegetable garden with marigolds, just for that reason) also avoid "barrel''or" fuzzy "plants (cucumbers are an exception, although they are quite fuzzy bunnies seem to find them a treat ... In fact, it's not really the cucumbers, as they contain water ... You can also check out a book on gardening for wildlife ... The National Wildlife Foundation, is also a wonderful resource ...

You're welcome, glad to be of some help small ...

it is a wild rabbit and not a pet you should not feed him. Wild animals should be kept wild. If you then move the animal that you have been feeding will find food for its self and do not know because you have been feeding him.

lettace not plant, it makes them sick. Rabbits enjoy a little AMOUT grass, carrots, broccoli stems, bits of strawberry. Things like that. also keep a pet other away from it.

I have several generations of rabbits nest under my shed. They dug just below. I guess that is generations I've lived here for 23 years and every year I'm nesting.
I do not know what foods they eat. Occasionally they eat birdseed fell and especially corn in winter ... I always keep a brush pile for them to run. I have a large koi pond, so I have plenty of water.
