Can I give my baby REPTOCAL Corn Snake? ok so I have this baby corn snake. And I bought this for my calcium green iguana. His name ReptoCal
In the bottle it says for ALL reptiles, but could I give my baby corn snake?
If yes, how much and how often?
Thank you.
The only reason you want to give calcium to a snake is mainly if its a female and she is pregnant. This helps to make stronger eggs. But that being said, no, they do not really need extra calcium. Also, if you give it reptical vitamin D and his body can not properly break saw D without a UVB bulb somehow. This can lead to accumulation of vitamin D and can eventually kill the snake. So no, I would not recommend it! Hope this helps and good luck!
It is not necessary to give calcium supplements for snakes. Snakes get all their nourishment from their prey. A mouse or rat snake has all of a need in a convenient package. If you read snake care sheets and books, the view that there is no mention of supplementation with the exception of snakes eat insects.
He will get plenty of calcium from the bone of the mouse.
