Rodent Exercise Wheel

Im doing an invention of science to turn on a light bulb with an exercise wheel for rodents and need help. I have every son and tied them to the bulb, but not need to know where to attach the wheel. I heard that the use of magnets and coils of wire u, but not exactly how! I need help! Please reply if u do something about this project!
