This question brings images of people, killing pets, but the consumption of horsemeat is a practice still used in many Indian reservations. Less than 100 years ago, before cars took over the land, horses have been used for work, travel, and food by men traveling in areas that were still considered the wilderness of America. saltpeter cured horse meat was served to our soldiers the First World War.
One thing to consider with the overpopulation of horses as possible. The influenza pandemic of the First World War is regarded as a cross on the virus of horses. Horse manure was burned to heat in the military barracks of basic training, which is where the connection took place. It was carried by our soldiers in Europe where it has morphed into a more virulent form. More than half of soldiers sent to Europe died before seeing action.
The reason it was called Spanish flu because Spain had violated the international ban on newspaper reports on the flu, because it would undermine the moral of the soldiers and those at home. Report on it during the war was seen as an act of treason.
If the horse population is allowed to grow uncontrolled, or that we have to bury about 80,000 horses a year, it could bring what most concerns the CDC?
Well, I do not think so. If people like to eat that let them. It's not like when they poach elephants and leave the body, this animal is used in the circle of life.
Besides, I know that many farmers who slaughter their horses when they become very old and eat
I guess
Only if you're going to ban the slaughter and sale of all other meats too.
No, the company of a person is another dinner. Live and let eat. Peace.
slaughtar naw hay burners. must do something with them. starveing people around the world.
Did not we kill cows for beef? In many countries, they eat meat that we believe as barbaric. In Korea and the Orient, they eat dogs in South America they eat bugs and bats. So if someone wants to eat horse then yes let them have.
horses are some of the most beautiful and magical healing animals there. I can not stand to even read this article because people are so cruel. The horses have never done anything for us and are beloved pets to many. They do not deserve to have ended their lives just to be somebodies f'ing profit. Its just sick and twisted and evil and if I ever knew someone who did this I would kill them.
I've never tried tried horse meat, but I've heard it is better than beef and less fat, I like my steak, so I'm all for scranning horses and they should not be banned . To be honest, I could not be bothered reading your story over there too long, so if there is another reason why he should be banned so I can not say so I say eat all LETS horses and their scrotums TOO!
Yes. The horses transported to slaughter are usually wild mustangs. The BLM has been responsible for gathering the horses and bring the adoption to families or others who train them and use them as riding horses. However, the greedy have concluded these auctions and buy horses for meat. The horses are abused and often injured in transport and holding. Why would anyone want to eat a horse that is old or sick? weird for me. Personally, I do not want horses slaughtered However, if people keep their horses for this purpose which is fine with me. Just leave the Indians alone. They represent our history. And they are powerless to protect themselves.
Around them and sell them at auction to people who want to use.
Or.
